Moto Guzzi was expected to unveil its new heavy gun, the California V 1400, at the EICMA show inMilan, but CEO Roberto Colaninno spurred his men to do better than what was previewed last year. So, the V7 carried the flag once again!
For the first time in years, the “small-block” Moto Guzzi V-Twin has been extensively refurbished to produce more-adequate power and torque. The internal changes are immediately apparent via the engine’s largely revised exterior. New valve covers and, most important, vastly extended finning on heads and cylinders improve cooling in response to an increase in compression from 9.2:1 to 10.2:1.
Since the V7 engine uses a Heron- type combustion chamber, new pistons were adopted featuring a revised design on their dished-out crowns. The pistons also are lighter and stronger. In addition, the V7 now breathes through larger valves and a revised induction system that uses a single Y-shaped 38mm throttle body that splits into two 36mm runners where the individual injectors are located.
As a result of these changes, claimed output has increased to 51 horsepower at 6200 rpm and 42.8 foot-pounds of torque at 5000 rpm. Throttle response from low revs is vastly improved, thanks to the ram effect of the aforementioned longer manifold and cooler air inhaled by the relocated airbox.
The upgraded 750cc Twin powers three models: V7, V7 Special and V7 Racer. All three machines are based on the previous version but feature new graphics. The rolling gear remains unchanged, but the overall quality of the bikes shows some meaningful improvements.

Pričakovano je bilo, da bo Moto Guzzi razkril svoj novi "veliki kanon", Californio V 1400 na EICMA v Milanu, vendar je direktor Roberto Colaninno spodbudil svoje može da še bolj potrudijo, kot je bilo prikazano prejšnje leto. Tako je bil ponovno zastavonoša V7.
Prvič v zadnjih letih je bil "small-block" Moto Guzzi dvovaljnik ekstenzivno prenovljen, da proizvaja bolj zadovoljivo moč in navor. Interne spremembe so takoj vidne že z njegovo prenovljeno zunanjostjo. Novi pokrovi ventilov in še bolj pomembno, povečana površina hladilnih reber na glavah in cilindrih izboljša hlajenje, kar je potrebno pri povečanju kompresije iz 9,2 : 1 na 10,2 : 1.
Odkar V7 agregat uporablja zgorevalno komoro tipa "Heron", so posodobili bate, kateri imajo prenovljen dizajn svojih skledastih kron. Bati so tudi lažji in močnejši. V7 sedaj tudi diha preko večjih ventilov in prenovljenega sistema, ki uporablja en sam kolektor Y oblike in 38mm loputo za plin, ki se razcepi v dva 36mm kanala, kjer se nahajata individualna injektorja.
Kot rezultat teh sprememb se je povečala moč na 51 konjskih sil pri 6200 obratih v minuti in 58 NM navora pri 5000 obratih v minuti. Odziv motorja je močno izboljšan v nižjih obratih, zahvaljujoč "ram" efektu prej omenjenega daljšega kolektorja in hladnejšega zraka, za kar poskrbi relocirana škatla za zračni filter.
Nadgrajen 750 kubični dvovaljnik poganja tri modele: V7, V7 Special in V7 Racer. Vsi trije so osnovani na prejšnji verziji, vendar imajo novo grafično podobo. Podvozje je ostalo nespremenjeno, vendar splošna kvaliteta motociklov kaže nekaj pomembnih izboljšanj.

Bolj ali manj se je vse vrtelo okoli "piccolin" to je ta malih-750 cc.
Kompresije in moči mojega 820 NTX pa pocarji še vedno ne dosegajo, kaj šele presegajo....

Hehe... seveda pa tudi tvoj NTX ne euro3 standarda...
No ja, nekej so pa moral pustit za nas... sicer nebi več gucijev šraufal. Kakšen svet bi pa to bil?!

The new bikes are this V7 racer styled by Miguel Galluzzi, designer of the original Ducati Monster. Although only a concept at this stage it could be set for production and features a new half fairing seat unit, a host of cosmetic touches and, bizarrely, a drum front brake.

Novi motocikli povzemajo takšen V7 racer stil, ki ga je dizajniral Miguel Galluzzi, dizajner originalnega Ducati Monsterja. Čeprav je v tej stopnji šele kot koncept, bi lahko prišel tudi v produkcijo. Nov poloklep, sedež in kup kozmetičnih sprememb in začuda bobnasta sprednja zavora.

Malo opažanj - boben je isti, kot na starem V7. Le malce pobarvan. Pri slikah spodaj je pa videti še malo račjega traku... (duct tape) pri nosilcu maske zraven leve vilice. Toliko o produkciji in dokaz, da je res guzzi.

A misliš zvok ali motor ? Dva S3 sta gotovo, pa še kaj bi se našlo-morda. Tale kar lepo prede.

Mislim oboje Zelo mi je všeč ta stil cafe racerja, čeprav je cena takšnega najbrž blizu novega v7 cafe, predvidevam, pa upam, da se motim

Za moj dirkalnik, bi blo treba za naslednjo sezono naštimat podobno obliko. Vse pogojujejo seveda finance, bom pisal v tovarno, če mi za dirke poceni prodajo rezervar pa zadnji del ali pa komplet, hehe, sanja svinja o kukuruzu.Je pa blizu, če ga od daleč pogledaš. Novemu V7 zavidam križe, pa 750ccm, pa seveda kdor ga bo prvi uničil pri nas, menjalnik, če še paše.

Po moje so menjalniki v bistvu enaki Tomaž. So mi pa všeč bobni na kolesih, a mislite, da primejo kot je potrebno?

V bistvu so enaki, pa seveda spet niso, če maš ketno, zamenjaš zobnik, pri guzziju pa bo treba še preštudirat, če ma kdo kakšen menjalnik se priporočam.

3-4, sem takoj za mnenje vprašal svojega prijatelja Ernsta, ta se z malimi twini ukvarja že 30 let, trenutno ima 750 4 ventilarja z 820 kitom in Brevino elektroniko in okrog 68 konjičkov.Tudi Centaura, Stelvia...blabla

kardan-box is always the same ratio til 2003, then changes til present.. but on early models they have problems wirh bevel-bearings. so they changed inner-bearing to a greater one but same housing.
then again change but only frm housing. you can see it on side there is a a sign like V on it. additional whole to bevel for oil.
kardan is always same kind. belongs to length of swing-arm and type of gearbox outp-shaft.
gearbox is a little more difficult. up to 2003 there are 2 boxes. one for 350+500 and one for 650+750.
bigger box contains better gear-wheel-bearings... better for much more power. and a small change of ratio.
main-difference is input-shaft (different clutch, small for 350+500, bigger for 650+750) and input-ratio.
big gearbox will be developed for breva. will change ratio of 4th and 5th gear. together with different kardan-ratio, a little more top-speed.
important:
- you can use clutch-plate on 350. then you can use big gear-box.
- never use an old box of 350+500, costs of repair ....
- new gearboxhousing up from 97 (i think) you can identify: on right side, on housing between box and engine, there is a pecial screw with inbus you can see. this boxes contain latest modification for oil-leadind.
- you can use 650+750 boxes together with inputshaft of 350. possible but not easy.

Končno sem ga dobil, n. 1767, čist frišn
Homologacija se je malce zavlekla in med tem so se temperature spustile.
Komaj sem uspel narediti probni giro do Postojne. Lušna mala prdulca.
